Mr. R. Redward was approaching b.is resilience on Wednesday evening when suddenly a ball of fire similai in appearance to a meteor appeared about 100 yards in front of hi n and burst about 80 feet from the ground. Strange to say he heard no report and could find no traces of the strange visitor on the ground. I have not heard of any other person seeing this “wonderful phenomenon as Mr. Redward terms it. The local football club intend entering a team for the seven a-s-de tournament to be held in Dannevirke on Wednesday next, the King s Birthday.
