COLONEL HEARD’S SUCCESSOR

[per press association.] G cllington, Alay 29. It is announced that LieutenantColonel Braithwaite. General Staff Officer at Auckland, will succeed Colonel Heard as Chief of General Staff and Director of Staff Duties and military training. LieutenantColonel Collins, Adjutant-General, will be succeeded by Colonel Chavtor. Officer Commanding the Wellington district. Colonels Heard and Collins, whose terms of office are expiring shortly, are returning to England.
