A shocking accident, which ter* urinated fatally, is reported by the Carterton “News” to have occurred on Monday morning at Martinborough to the four year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Taylor, of Princes street. Mr. Blissett was cutting a paddock of oats opposite Mr. Taylor’s house, and the little fellow must have gone into tljfe paddock and been entirely hidden from view in the standing crop. The reaper passed over him, and cut both his legs off. He was removed with all speed to Nurse Wakelin’s residence, and medical aid sent for, but without avail, the little sufferer passing away through loss of blood and shock.
