Oliver Noel Gillespie, solicitor, of Feilding, who at Palmerston North pleaded guilty to eight charges < f fraudulently failing to account for moneys received, came before t'.» Chief Justice to day. Counsel ior the accused suggested that it would be of great importance to the prisoner to go through bis accounts, and lie felt sure that it’ Gillespie were granted six weeks or two months with the 'nooks considerable sums might be recovered. Counsel asked the Court to postpone sentence accordingly. His Honour said that if there was any likelihood of part f ilie money being recovered, he had no objection Io that course. Conn sei then called evidence to assure the court that there was soim- prospect in that 'direction. His Honour postponed sentence until I frit February.
