A mass meeting of a thousand police in Trafalgar Square support nd the Metropolitan Police Union. The speakers declared that 95 per cent, of tire men were favourable the unicn. The constable’s wage of *7 - was inadequate to prevent corruption. Tyranny was being exercis cd in the force to an extent not realised by the public. They invited rhe support of all trades unions. The police membership was 5000.
