THE COMING RACE.

CONVERSION OF CARICATURES INTO IDEAL BEINGS. [SYDNEY “SVN” SERVH E—COPYRIGHT. ] (Received 25, 9 a.m.) London, July 24. At the Medical Conference at Brighton, Dr. Campbell, of London, read a paper on Eugenics, in which he stated that it was theoretically possible to breed a race of supermen and convert the present man, who was a mere caricature of the ideal into a being with perfect form and supreme moral and intellectual endowment. If we wanted to raise up a race immune from disease and if we desired to retain our vast possessions we must raise a manlier breed by' better ruling the stock. Those who were now directing the destinies of the Empire wanted not only physique, but moral strength and intellectual capacity. An interesting debate on the subject is expected.
