Members of the Pharmaceutical Society were not allowed to see Windsor Castle unless they signed a declaration that they were not connected with the Suffragettes. TO REVENGE PAXKHURST. London, July 24. A house at Birmingham was damaged by fire. A message was left, "Asquith is to blame. Release Mrs. Pankhurst. ” AFTERXOOX’S ENTERTAINMENT. London, July 24. A party of members of the House of Commons were having tea with 200 guests on the terrace of the House of Commons when a launch filled with Suffragettes approached the terrace. The Suffragettes harrangued the gathering on the terrace for an hour, the guests deserting the tea tables to listen. The police boat approaching, the Suffragettes threw some literature on to the terrace and steamed off. AN UNSEEMLY STRUGGLE. (Received 25. 10.10 ij.ni.) London. July 24. A Suffragette deputation to the Hon. R. McKenna surprised the police and entered the precincts < f the House of Commons. The police tried to eject them and an unseemly scuffle took place in St. Stephen’s Hall. Mrs. Pethick Lawrence and two other women were arrested.
