SUPREME COURT.

Wangain^-June 2. The sittings of the Supreme Court opened today. Mr. Justice Chapman presiding. There were only two* criminal cases. The first was against a woman named Mary Harding of alle'ged breaking and fntcring the residence of Mrs. Ilrcttargh and stealing plate to the value of £5. The accused was found not guilty. A similar fate bcfel J. S. Robinson for the alleged theft of £11,4 ■ from tlie Rutland Hotel, bar. hivereargill, June 2. Frank Jrtmes McFarlane was charged at the Supreme Court to day with assault with intent. The jury, after a retirement of four hours, wire unab’c to agree, and a new trial was fixed for Wodnes day.
