PIGEON-SHOOTING.

HAWKE S BAY GUN CLI B. The Hawke’s Bay County Gun Club held their autumn meeting at Hastings yesterday in a paddock lent by Mr. George Beatson. An open handicap for a silver cup presented by Mr. .D. E. Davis and £25 in cash was the principal event competed. The conditions were: Ten birds, two misses out. 40 yards boundary. At the end of the tenth round D. A. Graham, W. McMillien. I). Robson and F. H. Taplin had each killed all their birds and decided to divide the stake money and shoot off for the cup. Each shooter continue to bring down his birds up to the fifteenth round, and this stage it was decided to shoot off on the double rise. McMillien was the only man who succeeded in killing both birds in the next round, which made him the winner. A £l sweepstake, first miss out. was also held. Eleven shooters fired and at the end of the tenth round G. R. King anil Parker, who had each killed all their birds, decided to divide. Appended are .the individual scores: — OPEN HANDICAP. W.
