DOMINIONS COMMISSION.
WELLINGTON SITTINGS ENDED
AVellington; March 11. The Trade Commission concluded its sittings here yesterday. E. J. Carey, secretary of the Cooks and AVaiters’ Union, explained that the reason why girl immigrants, after being brought out for domestic service, did not enter it, was that they found they could get other employment in hotels and restaurants under better conditions.
Sir Rider Haggard, the Hon. L. Bowring, and Messrs. Garnett a net Lorimer left this morning for Tat naki, anil Sir Edgar Vincent, Sn Alfred Bateman, the Hon. J. R. Sinclair and Messrs. Campbell ai d Tatlow left by to-night’s- Mun Trunk express for Auckland, vyhi f the Commission will begin a sitting on Thursday. According to present arrangement the Commission leaves Auckland lot Sydncv on March 24th.
