MORE PILLAR BOX OUTRAGES. London. March 8. The Suffragettes committed further pillar-box outrages at Battersea and Kew, and cut large numbers of telegraph and telephone wires elsewhere. PROTEST BY A DUCHESS. London, March 8. The Duchess of Bedford, while opposed to the militants, refuses to pay taxes on the Prince’s Skating Rink as a protest against the manner in which the Government has treated the Suffrage movement. OPPOSITION TO GOVERNMENT CANDIDATES. London, March 9. The National Union of Women’s Suffrage has resolved to oppose Government candidates and support Labour men. NON-MILITANTS’ PLATFORM. Non-niilitants have begun the boycott of tradesmen and clergymen opposed to women’s suffrage. They will divert charitable and other donations to the suffrage cause, withdraw money from the Post Office, and reinvest it in countries where suffrage is granted. Suffragettes destroyed the railing, lamps and small trees at the Nottingham Forest Recreation Ground. The culprits were not detected.
