PIGEON FLYING.

Th--' Clive Flying Club held a nice from Christchurch on Sunday. Owing to the birds arriving too late for liberation on Saturday, they were let go on Sunday morning. The fol’owing was the result : —Mr. P. E. Oemache first, second, third and fourth. With 1503. 1500, 1498 and 1 597 yards per minute ; Mr. Joe Wells’ reliance fifth with 1262 yards per minute. This is the lasv oi a series of races, flown for a handsome silver cup presented by Mr. David Whyte < f Hastings, to be won two seasons in succession, or three at intervals. Mr. P. E. Ocinche is the winner of the cup this season.
