I Gisborne, Dec. 4. • A fire occurred at Patutahi this • morning and destroyed an eightroomed house occupied by Mr. J. A. Mac Donnell and owned by Mr. T. Mclldownie. The building was insured for £450 in the Union office and the furniture for £250 in the , South British. ! HOUSE AT PAKI TAKI . ! A seven-roomed house at Pnki Paki, owned and occupied by Mr. S. Koko, accountant at Messrs. Paterson, Mossman and Co.’s office. Hast-
ings, was burned to the ground at an early hour yesterday morning. Nothing was saved. Tlie building was insured for £.300 in the South British office, and the furniture for £l5O in the same office. The cause of the fh;e is unknown.
