• TIRED OF THE WORLD.” Dunedin, Nov. 28. Mr. C. C. Graham, eorontr, held an inquiry this afternoon concerning the death of Stephen Harrington. IL years of age, who was lound deac. hanging from the rafters cf a stable vesterday at his father s farm, Shtei Hill, Anderson’s Bay. The following note writte n in pencil was found in the lad’s bedroom by Ins father: — •■Dear father, —1 am tired of the world, amt it gives me pain to think that you have ’done so much for me and have been so good, father, te. me. So good-bye to Ernie and yourself. I am, your son, Steve."’ The evidence submitted showed that the deceased had been in goov spirits and apparently had r.e. worries. The Coroner said there? was r.c doubt that this was a ease of suicide by hanging while in a temporary state of insanity. DEATH ON A DOORSTEP.
Auckland, Nov. 28. A pedlar, about 50 years of age, collapsed on the dooistep of a house in Symonds street to-day and died. Some pawn tickets found in a pocket of the deceased were made out in the name of C. S. Hoare. The body has not yet been identified.
