Auckland. Nov. £3. A brief bag was found ot? the steps of the ferry tee this morning which contained the dead body of a female child, fully developed, with tape tied tightly round its neck. The body was wrapped in a portion of women’s clothing and the bag weighted with a flat iron. It was probably left on the steps by the rereding title. Medical examination 1.-eldis that the child never ' .rnathed. There is no c’ne to the mother’s identity.
