At the back Mercedo ran up second and ;at the top turn Golden Loop was I w.ij i the leaders. Mercedo fell at • the last fence. Golden Loop outI stayed Beacon and ( won by two lengths. Time, 2min. 50 l-ssec. Cressy Welter.—Kilts I, Teviotdale 2, Countermine 3. Scratched: Blue Lake, Bon Ton, Oxenhope, Potao, Aiy Lawyer, Beacon and Black Lupin. Teviotdale was in the lead at the distance, but Kilts come cn the outside and won by a head, Countermine hah a length away just in front of Peg, Shevbourg. Gold Cun and Crown Pearl. Time, I min. 14 l-s*ee Seymour Handicap.— Kilmeny 1, Lockwood 2, Canute 3. Scratched : Gold Ring. A heavy hailstorm came up as the race finished. Kilmeny led all the way and won by four lengths. Time, train. 34 l-sse<-. AUCKLAND SPRING MEETING. SECOND DAY. Auckland, Nov. 9. Hunters’ Steeples.--Sky High 1, Eglinton 2, Captain Jack 3. Scratched : Sheeba.
