ENTERTAINMENTS.
PRINCESS THEATRE, HASTINGS. There is a complete change of programme to-night. “ The Sands of Dee ” is the star item, and is by the famous A.B. Company. Those who remember Charles Kingsley’s poem will be pleased with this picture. A most interesting film is “ Reptiles.” a highly scientific subject. A real good drama is “ The Peasant Girl’s Revenge.” The comics are very funny, “ The Leading Alan” and ‘‘The International Heartbreaker ” being top-notchers. “Seeing the Sights ” concludes a first-class programme. KING’S THEATRE. HASTINGS.
To-night, at the King’s Theatre, a complete change of programme will be screened. A Gaumont Graphic and a Patbe’s Gazette are included. “ Assembly of the Fleet at Spith.-ad ” is a very interesting subject. “ The Slier'ifF's Daughter ” is a detective story, in which a sheriff is suspected of acting as a bandit. The mystery is, however, eventually unravelled, and the sheriff is j proved to be innocent. “ The Create: i Love ” shows b.ow a girl conquered a man. and through her love brought him to his better self. “ The Colonel’s Escape ” i$ a story of smuggling days in Mexico. Fully 300 persons take part in this drama, and the leading figure, General Rhys Pryce, is a man for whom the Government offered 25,000 dollars, dead or alive. “ The Child’s Prayer ” shows how a child by a simple art saved his father and made good friends. The comic side of the programme is not to be forgotten, and the pictures are really funny subjects. “Tweedledum Insures his Life ” shows this favourite trying hard to kill himself. “ The Bachelor’s Waterloo,” “.Man under the Bed,” and “ The Speed Demon ” are also good laughable subjects.
OLYMPIA RINK, HASTINGS
To-night the rink will re-open aftei being closed for two weeks, when skaters can reckon on a good evening’s healthy enjoyment. During the recess the skates have been put in good order. The floor is also in first-class repair, and should prove very fast. On Monday, Labour Day, the rink will be open during the following hours: —10 to 12, 2.30 to 4.30, and 7.30 to 10.5. The charges are light, and should help to draw all skating enthusiasts.
