FROZEN MEAT MARKET. Tlx' New Zealand Loan and Mercnntile Agency Co., Ltd., have rei-eivcd i he following advice from their London office, under date 13th September: — “A. fairly good trade has been passing in frozen mutton, and with supplies fir.nlj held prices have further improved. The demand for frozen lamb has again been i ere quiet, many buyers continuing to give the preference to Home killed, which can be bought as low as 6d par lb for plain careases. For Canterbury 2’s the price is unchanged. but for B’s and 4's, which an' in moderate supply, more money has been obtainable. There has been a fair enquiry lor frozen beef .and in the case of forequarters prices have advanced gd per lb. AVe quote Canterbury sheep 4§d to 4/jd. North Island 4 Id to 4§d; Australian -Gel to 4jd. Canterbury lamb std to 6d per lb, North Island 5d to 5Jd. Australian 5d to sjd. New Zealand beef, 3d to 3Jd per lb, ‘ off the hooks.’
