THROW THE Bl RDEN ON THE LAND. (Received 8, 11.40 a.m.) London, Oct. 7. Mr. C. P. Trevelyn. M.P., for West Yorkshire, presided at a conference which, by a large majority, carried a resolution in favour of taxation on land and a proper basis of rating, instead of on industries.
