NEW MOUNTAIN HOUSE. New Plymouth, Oct. 5. The new North Egmont mountain house was formally .opened yesterday by Lord Islington, who was entertained at a luncheon there. Notwithstanding that there have been many weeks inecess’ant bad weather, sixteen motor cars reached the house, which is over 3000 feet above sea level, and nineteen miles from New Plymouth. The house is built < f concrete and splendidly fstrnishe 1. It is lighted with electricity and is under the management of Mr. Murphy, late manager of the Hermitage. Lord Islington expressed himself as charmed with the house and its surroundings.
