NEW ZEALAND RUGBY UNION. Wellington, Sept. 25. The Management Committee oi the New Zlealand Rugbv I mmi nut this evening. Mr. Galbraith (chairman) report ed on the result ct the <‘orference recently held between delegates from the New Zealand and New South Wales Unions in regard to the trouble which arose over the American Universities and New Zealand tours in Australia. The position now- was that instead oi New Zealand owing New Smita. Wales £156, New South Wales owed New Zealand £3t! 4 4. On this basis (lit 1 matter had been settler!.—The report was adopted. A communication from th<“ West Coast Union, st at ing thar a man lino been suspended till June, 1913. for using lead language, was rt ferred back for further particulars. The suspension imposed on a Port Chalmers player by the Otago Union till the end of the 1912 seasor was endorsed. The Hawke's Bay Union notified that it had called upon 17 players to show cause why they should not be suspended fur takiing part ir matches under Northern League rules. No explanation was given, and the men had been suspended.— It was decided that the jdayers concerned lie expelled. I The Marlborough Union wrote a 1 follows:— ’This union wish to urg< on the executive that n special gen eral meeting of the New Zealand Union should be called to consider
the present state of Rugby football' in the Dominion and to take steps for its betterment. This union is ionviiiccd that now is the time for action, and delay in tlm matter will be dangerous.’ —Mr. Wylie moved, I "That in view <jV the previous de ’ vision of the delegates the executive iloca not consider it necessary to call a meeting at the present time.” The motion was cair!( ;L The Coast. Uiiioii applied for the control of Ib.o l‘.)i3 North and Gouth Island match, which they desire to have played at Grey mouth.-• The application will be referred to the delegates at. the annual meeting. On Saturday afternoon i'uc curtain will be rung down on Rugby for this reason when Mari st. Bi others’ Old Boys will defend the Challenge Shield against the Waipttknrau Club on McLean Park. The match has boon set down to commence at 2.30 p.m. to allow the country team to return home that evening. Bush teams are confident of success and il is, anticipated that a good game
