The weather was fine and the tracks were in good order for fast work this morning for horses engaged in the Hawke’s Bay Jocke.v Chib's spring meeting on Wednesday next. Arc.hakau ran four furlongs in good style in o3scc.

Hurakia and Merton finished together at the end of six furlongs run in 1.21 1-5.

It took Right Oh 1.7 to run five furlongs. Pot Luck was given a sprint over four furlongs. Peacemaker ran seven furlongs in 1.36.

Trieze finished in front of Castilione in a six furlong go left liehind in 1.20 1-5.

Ariom. Easy, San Pluie and Goldfinder ran mice round ii. ci'Dipany Ariom and Ea«v got the best of the start and finished together a few lengths in front of the other pair.
