The automatic signalling in the tube raihvaysfi, hitherto regarded as practically infallible. is severely criticised in the ’’Railway Review,’’ which declares that failures! arc not uncommon and accidents are only averted by the men s promptitude. The authorities reply that no accidents have occurred for seven vears.
