A feature cf the innings was tbe stand made by the tail of the team. Haigh and Relf adding 130 for tl.e ninth wicket. Rhodes played a masterly innings, batting for 135 minutes. Relf gave a chance at 78, which was not taken, off Carkeck in tr.e deep field to Smith. Relf’s play was brilliant towards the finish. The 200 was hoisted after 225 minutes’ play. Mayne and Keileway opened the Australians’ innings and played out time.
