Spring. October 29; and 30—Grey mouth J.C. Spring. NAPIER PARK RACING CLUB. A committee meeting of the club was held in the afternoon. Mr. McVay occupied the chair. The following officers were elected for the current racing season : —Judge, Mr. W. H. Hartgill ; handicapper, Mr. H. Coyle ; starter, Mr. A. Wood ; timekeeper, Mr. S. E. Cooper; clerk of the course, Mr. James Lopdeii; clerk of the scales, Mr. F. G. Smith. It was decided to purchase a set of Hutchinson’s patent weighing scales for use in the weighing room. A donation of £25 was voted towards the funds of the Hawke’s Bay Hunt. The Chairman, Messrs. Martin, Kennedy, Bicknell and Williams were appointed to act as a committee to look after the course and appointments'. The secretary was voted a bonus of £25 and an increase -in salary of £25 per annum. After transacting routine business and passing accounts to the amount of £6O the committee adjourned.
