A balloon carrying four passengers and piloted by a balloonist named Enger. left Santa Monica, in California. intending to reach San Francisco. They- imt with contrary winds and were;carried out to sea. Tli? balloon disappeared in a fogbank .-.mJ, is now adrift over the Pacific. The gravest fears are entertained for its safety. The provisions aboard will only last ninety hours.
