The "Pall Mall Gazette’s" Cairo correspondent reports that an expedition numbering 2500 is being organised to settle in the Soudan. It is likely to have trouble with the Annak and Guer tribes.

He has ten thousand mounted followers, armed with rifles. He captured Bohottle and slaughtered a thousand men, women and children, ana now threatens Berbers, where there are only ten whites.
