ACCUSED COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. (Received 29. 8.50 a.m.) - Sydney, July 29. At the inquest, on McCarthy, evidence was gixen by George Albert Thorby, aged 20, who was visiting his brother. The quarrel was originalb (au-.ed th-ough Thorby’s resentment of McCarthy’s friendliness with his sister. The accused has been committed for trial on a charge of murder. A well known and highly respected farmer near Dubbo named Herbert Thcibt. -hot a man named McCarthy. The latter was working for Thorbv and had been discharged. An altercation occurred and Thoiby was subsequently attacked by Me C'arthv with a tomahawke. wheieupon Thorby, it is alleged, fi: ('d twice, killing McCarthy instant.y. Thorbx latt”’ on reported himself to lhe police. _
