PRINCESS THEATRE. HASTINGS. There will be a complete change of programme to-night. “ The Sheriff’s 1 Decision ” is a cowboy drama, in which | there are some great feats of riding. I “ The Warwick Chronicle ’’ is a new item on the programme, and gives the latest events of the day. Then come: the comics, “A Problem in Reduction ” being a most mirth-provoking subject. | “ The Five Senses ” is a study in ex | pressions by the famous actor, Harr; iP. YVilder. Other good comics an I “ Calino, the Lion Tamer” and “The i Porter’s First Prize.” KING’S THEATRE. HASTINGS. To-night, at the King’s Theatre, a complete change of programme will be made, and some wonderful productions will be shown. The star film is the exclusive Bison drama, “ The Indian Massacre.” Hundreds of actors take part in this picture, and it is carried out in all reality. A scenic picture entitled “ Mountain Torrents ” is reallj i beautiful subject, and well worth seeing. Two travel pictures, “ From Bordeaux to Pallae ” and “ Visit to Senegal. Soudan,” both contain much beautiful scenery. “ Meeting of the Ways ” is a Y’itagraph drama, full ol up-to-date and interesting matters. “ His Secretary ” is a commercial drama showing how a girl who acted as secretary to a successful business man, after being discharged for a theft she did not commit, eventually became the happy wife of her former employer. “ Hypnotic Detective ” is another good subject of interest. The comic and comedy subjects are well represented in “Those Hiekvilleßoys,” “The Author,” and a screamingly funny comic entitled “ Lulu’s Anarchist.” OLYMPIA RINK. HASTINGS. To-night, at the Olympia Rink, the fourth grand fancy dress and' poster carnival will he carried out in the usual good style adopted by the management of the rink. A large attendance cf spectators is expected, and more seating accommodation has been installed. Die skaters’ dresses promise to be a varied assortment, and are sure to please the spectators. Mr. Raynes, a great skating enthusiast, is to act as judge. Valuable prizes will be presented to the winners directly after the carnival by the Mayoress. RICKARDS’ TIVOLI COMPANY’. The intended re-opening of high-class vaudeville entertainments in New Zealand under the segis of the Harry Rickards management, commencing at the Princess Theatre, Hastings, on Monday next, for one night only, will assuredly be hailed with pleasure by theatrical patrons. The Harry Rickards enterprises have ever been synonymous with the highest standard ol excel’eneo and success. The combination of vaudeville talent to be introduced to the Hastings public embrace: no fewer than 15 artists, and more than half of the personnel have received recognition in the principal centres as star performers. Rinaldo, the wandering violinist, presents no ordinary vioiir plating turn. Wherever he has appeared lie has created a furore by the novelty. the artistic, the talented eccentricity of his playing. Die very finest original monologue artist and pianist Mr Will H. Fox, w ill also make hitNew Zealand debut. Miss Monie Mine, the soubrette star, is acknowledged at one of the prettiest and daintiest artist js in her special line. Blake and Granby, a .comic sketch duo, ard bringing to New Zealand a repertoire of ver; humorous ami appreciably novel order. Mr. Ronald George, who plays on di, verse instruments and who performs on the xylophone as no other artist can, is another whose specialty turn will command appreciation. Tho marvellous racquet jugglers and eccentric comiques. Walker and Sturn, are another star attraction. The Tossing Tostros are equilibrists, jugglers, and the feats of balancing they perform are well worthy of the description of awe-inspiring. Supporting artists are the Bright Sisters, clever singing and dancing comediennes, Marshall Crosby, a baritone of exceptional range and power; and Melrose and Menzies, a pair of clever patter comedians. The box plan for tho brief season will be available at Hall s on Friday morning.
