DISASTERS AT SEA.
AN OVERDUE COASTER. Sydney, July 23. Incessant soaking rain, widely distributed, ami heavy on the coast, continues. A quantity of butter in boxes has b«en washed ashore at Tathra. It is supposed to bo from the steamer Bega wrecked some years ago and broken up by the late gales. A portion of th" side of a vessel unidentified has drifted into the Manning river. Fears are entertained for the ketch Candidate, the third overdue sailer, which left Camden haven on Sunday week with a crew of five.
