(Received 11, 10.20 a.m.) Adelaide, July 11. At a luncheon at Parliament' House, Lord Denman, replying to the toast of his health, referred to the fact that he used to follow steeplechasing. He said his horses won when he rode them himself. He had had many pleasant days on the racecourses of England, and many also in Australa, ar.d he hoped to be able to continue his pursuit of that engrossing sport in this country. Referring to his experience in the House of Lords, he said he thought politics were one of the finest professions, but they were never so diffi-' cult as they are to-day.
