Mr. C. B. Hoadlej and Miss Hoadley left Napier this morning en route for England. Mr. Mcßae-Peacock, of Patoka, is spending a few days in Napier, and puts up at the Masonic Hotel. Mr. Hill, Chief Inspector of Schools for Hawke’s Bay, left Napier this morning for Te Pohue. i Mr. Leslie Reynolds, of Christchurch. engineer for the Wairoa Hari bour works, arrived in N apier last j evening from Wellington on his way to Wairoa.
Out of the six applications received for th * position of secretary of the Poverty Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Association, Mr. C. R. Spragg was appointed.
Mr. Henry Scott. A.M.I.Mech.E., recently in the service of the Christchurch Tramway Board, also connected with electrical matters in Christchurch for many years, has been selected irom fifty-one applicants for the position of electrical engineer to the Inglewood Borough Council.
For the post of agricultural instructor to the South Caaifcbury schools at a salary of £350 antfflnivelling expenses, the South Canterbury Board of Education has selected from forty applicants Mr. W. Martin, 8.A.. B.Sc.. at present instructor under the Wanganui Board. Messrs. V . Low and IV. Ellard were the next choice.—Press Association.
