H.B. A AND P. SOCIETY.
COMMITTEE MEETING. UNSOUND BREEDING DRAUGHTS. After our going to press furthei discussion on the above question was as follows: — Mr. Coleman thought the examina tion ought to be a thorough one and be available to obtain entrance to Victoria and New South Wales. Such an examination could not be carried out on the morning of the show and horses ought to be ex amined on the day previous. Mr. Hugh Campbell moved that the recommendation be agreed to. and in doing so expressed the opinion that stallions of every breed also ought to be examined. Mr. Chambers seconded the resolution. Mr. Hislop moved that no action be taken. Mr. Campbell's motion was carried. A second resolution from the same meeting urging that any horses passed by a Government inspector should not be subject to further examinations during that season at any of the society’s shows, was also passed. Judges for the spring show were appointed. Accounts to the amount of £2l/13/6 were passed for payment.
