Wanganui. July 4. At the Educat ion Commission today. Mr. G. D. Braik. ( Lief Inspector to the Wanganui Education Board, made a statement on what he considered the three vital problems: — (!) Co-ordination of primary, secondary and technical education ; (2) pre mot ion cf teachers ; and (3) rates of payment of teachers. Miss Cruickshank, Principal of the Wanganui Girls’ College, gave evidence regarding th? relation between teelmical and secondary education, salaries, staffing ami training, st Habits and examinations. Brother Basil. Prin.-ipnl of the i Marist Brothers" School, urged that assistance should be given to aliow Catholic children to benefit by the secondary ami technical education facilities afforded the State school children.
