SETTLEMENT HOPED FOR. (Received 1. 9 a.m.) Capetown. June 30. General Botha.'at Riversdale, paid a tribute to Sir Owen Phillips, and said he still hoped there would be a settlement of the shipping dispute before September. It was impossible to allow Government freights to be tied for a long period.
