NORTH i. SOUTH MATCH

A special note should be made of the date on which the North v. South Island match is to bo played in Napier, namely, on Saturday, July 13th. This is tho first occasion on which the public of Hawke’s Bayhave been given the opportunity of witnessing such a match, and no doubt the Recreation Ground v-ill be packed to its utmost. Arrangements have been made for the conveyance of enthusiasts from Gisborne and Wairca, and the railway authorities have been approached to grant excursion rates. Tickets for the reserved stand may be obtained from J. R. Ross and Go.. Napier, and. other tickets may be had from sub-union secretaries. (Own Correspondent.} The Waipawa and Onga Onga juniors tried conclusions at Onga Onga on Saturday ,the score resulting, Waipawa 12, Onga Orga 9. The latter score was put up in the second half and a goal was added to V. aipawa’s score.

In tho senior match Waipawa v. Onga Onga, played at Waipawa. the home team were victorious by six to nil. after a very keenly contested game. The Waipawa High School Roys played the Napier High School Juniors at Napier on Saturday and ar.' to be congratulated on putting up the fine score of 8 to Napier's 9. The boys speak enthusiastically of their good reception by the Napier team.
