In view of statements in circulation regarding alleged inefficient teaching at the above school, the board unanimously passed the following resolution :—That the chairman cf the M aerengahika School Committee be informed that acting on the advice of the chief inspector, the board considers the teaching at M’aerengahika school, under the circumstances, has been efficient. NEAV SCHOOL ON NAPIER HILLS. Mr. C. M. M'l ittington moved the following motion: —That in view of the inauguration of the tramway system in Napier and the consequent increased danger to children from the hills attending the present public schools, inquiries be made as to the advisability of establishing a now school on the hi!lt.—The resolution was carried unanimously.
