The contents were insured in the Ocean for £l5. The second house burned down was one of six rooms, owned and occupied by Mrs. Agnes Mcßain, and insured in the State Office for £4OO, which also held a risk of £l5O on the contents.

The third house destroyed was of five rooms, owned by Messrs. Murdock and Wallace, and occupied by Mr. Chas. M. Jenkins. It was insured in the South British Office, for £4OO, but there was no insurance on its contents.
