Conquist. who last Saturday, after wounding a police sergeant at Adelong was shot dead by the latter, was under the hallucination that men were pursuing him to kill him. He wandered about the country armed with a pea rifle and a big knife. He kept the police at bay in a house at Tumut. and escaping during the night, tied to Adelong.
