It is reported in London that H.R.H. Edward Albert, Prince of Wales, is going to the Heidelburg University.

Mr. Salmond left Napiei this morning for Taupo. The Hon. G. Fowlds left Hastings this morning for Marton and the Wanganui district. Mr. J. G. Hcslop, county council collector and valuer, and for over 40 years a resident of Reefton, died suddenly yesterday morning. Mr. and Mrs. D. N eagle, who have been on a visit to Mr. and Mrs. Neagle, senr., at Taradale, have left for their home at Taihape. Miss Garratt, of the Hastings Telephone Exchange staffff, left this morning for Taihape, having effected a three-months’ exchange of offices.
Mr. and Mrs. R. Currie left for Wellington to-day for Sydney, where they join the Seldlitzz for England. They intend spending a six-months’ holiday at Heme. Mr. and Mrs Sam Wood left Napier to-day on a holiday to be spent at Rotorua. The wool classes at the Technical College will during the absence of Mf. Wood be taken by Mr. Louis Wood.
Mr. E. R. Boyland, of the local staff of the • Government railway offices, has been transferred to the chief accountant’s office, Wellington, and leaves to take up his new duties to-morrow.
Sir Francis Henry May, the retiring Governor of Fiji, is a passenger from Suva for Auckland by the Marama, en route for Hong Kong. At a public farewell meeting of the colonists he was presented with an address.—Press’ Association.
