A PROGRESSIVE LODGE.

The quarterly meeting of the Napier branch of the Ancient Order of Druids was held in the Abbott s Hall, Napier, yesterday evening. There was a large attendance of members. Several donations were, received from other lodges towards the Nelson fund, and hearty votes of thanks were tendered to these lodges. Nominations were handed in for several offices, and a ballot in connection therewith will be taken at next meeting. A few of the various officers were, however, filled by unanimous assent of members, of which the following are particulars: A.D.. Bro. Hope; secretary, Bro. Tudehope ; treasurer, Bro. R. Bickerstaff; minute secretary, Bro. T. Rouse : inside guardian, Bro. Feibig; outside guardian, Bro. Billings. A challenge was received from Star of Napier Lodge No. 63 (Oddfellows) for a euchre tournament, and twenty members declared their readiness to take part in same. The Entertainment Committee reported that it was their intention to hold a pound night on June 4th. It was also arranged that the annual social be held on an early date. It was decided to pay an official visit to Hastings Lodge on June 11th. The total amount of contributions drawn during the evening was almost £2OO. Two new names were proposed for membership. ~
