N.Z. SYNDICALISTS.

CONGRATULATE WAIHI

STRIKERS

Wellington, May 24

The Federation of Labour Conference was continued to-day, Mr. P. C. Webb presiding. In connection with the troubles at Waihi and Reef ton, the following resolution was carried: —“That this conference of delegates assembled sends fraternal greetings to their Waihi and Reefton comrades, and congratulates them upon their exhibition of class solidarity, assures them of the loyalty of the organisation to them in their time of trial with opposing forces, and urges them to stand firm whilst the question is being dealt with by the organisation.” ALSO TOM MANN. The following resolution was carried enthusiastically :—“That this conference of the New Zealand federation of Labour expresses its disapproval of the action of the British Government in gaoling Tom Mann for rightly calling upon the British soldiers to refrain from firing upon the British workmen. To Tom-Mann we extend our heartiest congratulations for his continued fearless advocacy of revolutionary working class principles. The sentiments expressed by Tom Mann in the article leading to his arrest meet with our entire approval.” The conference will be resumed tomorrow morning..
