TE POHUE DOG TRIALS.
The second annual dog trials under the «iu spices of the Te Pohue Dog Trial Club were held last week. Mr. VV. W. McKinnon acted as judge. All the officials worked well. The following arc the results: — CLASS I. Heading., Bringing Back and Holding in Ring.
CLASS IV. Local Head. ' W. Pohio’s Sweep, 7,5, 5, 2—19.. 1 G. McGlashan’s Dave, 6,5, 5, 2—lB 2 D. Bodley’s Boh,, 8,4, 3 —15...... 3 In this class A. McGlashan’s k True came first with 24 points, and <T. Nichol’s Tip third with 16, but their owners kindly withdrew from the prize list. SPECIALS. Mr. Bellamy’s cup for dog and worker of same doing best work in Class IL —C. S. Hay’s Ccot. Mr. A. McGlashan’s two guineas for best judgment in varding.—C. S. Hay. Mr. W. Prebble’s two guineas for dog under best command in Class IV. —G. McGlashan’s Dave and IV. Pohio’s Sweep, equal. Mr. P. Dolbel’s guinea for neatest

Air. AV. Findlay’s trophy for best team of three dogs.- C. S. Hav. Mr. AlcCTui'g's silver medal for winner in Class IV.—AV. Pohio. A dance was held in Bodley’s Hall on Thursday evening in connection with the trials, and was a thorough success.
