THE WELSH CHURCH. London, May 8. Nonconformist Liberal M.P.’s have approved the religious safeguards for Home Rule and thanked the Government for the disendowment in Wales. “The Times” states that at least a dozen Labour M.P.’s acquiesce in disestablishment but are antagonistic to disendowment, which they consider a sin against the elementary principles of justice.

ATTACK ON MR. BRYCE

London, May 8.

Several questions were asked in the House of Commons respecting Mr. Bryce’s return. Sir Edward Grey said Mr. Bryce would certainly return to Washington in the beginning of September. Mr. William Redmond complained of the unfairness of attacking Mr. Bryce when unable to reply. Sir Edward Grey asked that the criticism should be directed towards the Government.
