PROSPECTS A r ERY BRIGHT
Sydney. Alay 3. (Received 8, 9 a.m.) The Lieutenant-Governor of Papua is visiting Sydney. He states that the industrial development of the possession is proceeding satisfactorily and the prospects are very bright. The Administration is introducing Javanese labourers for a term of throe vears for the purpose cf teaching the natives to tap rubber and cut sisal hemp. Plenty of native labour is available, but it is deficient in skill which the. Javanese will impart.
