WAIPUKURAU STOCK SALE.
At Waipukurau yards yesterday a good all-round yarding was submitted to a large attendance. Bidding throughout was brisk, and all lots hiet with good competition, resulting ’in business being effected at. prices in keeping wjth late sales. Only a limited number of beef cattle came forward, and they were, hardly prime. There aas a. full yardifig of fat sheep, which sold readily under the hammer. Quotations: Fat bullocks £9 to £9/6/-, lighter £B/6'-, light cows £5/10/-, 2|vear steers £4/15/- to £5/2/6, 20-month steers £3/16/- to £4/4/-, good Shorthorn weaner steers £2/18/-, dairy fed meaner steers 13/-, forward empty cows £3/11/-, empty cows £2/10/- to £3, Shorthorn weaner heifers £2/15/-, fat weathers 14/9 to 16,/-, fat ewes 13,6 to 11/-, lighter 12/- to 13/-, forward ewes 10 - to 11/6, store ewes 7/to 9-, f.m. ewes in lamb 11/- to 14/-, fat lambs 10/- to 11/3, medium store lambs 9/- to 9.-3, cull lambs 5/- to 6/-.
