Huddart. Parker and Co.’s Victoria arrived early this morning from Southern ports, and left later for Sydney, via Gisborne and-Alickland. The Union Company's Mokoia is due on Monday morning from Northern ports, and ieave- at 2 p.m. for Wellington and South. The Union Company’s Haupiri let last night for Gisborne, East Coast Lavs, and Auckland. She leaves Auckland on her return tour:my at the eml of next week.

Th- Hum arrived yesterday afternoon from Tokomaru Bay. The Kahu arrived last night from Wellington, and leaves to-night for Whangawehi.

A new steamer, the Karamu, of the “ K " class of vessel belonging to the Union Companv. was launched on April 18th nt Sund'rland. The Karamu is a steamer of 800 tons register, and will be readv to sail shortly for Nmv Zealand, where she will be engaged in the Union Company’s coastal trade. The new vessel (says the “ Otago Daily Times ’’) takes her name from the karamu tree, and the other new vessel which was launched a couple of weeks ago has been named Katoa. a comprehensive Maori name signifying “ail every thing.’’
