TRAIN DERAILED
Ashburton, Apl. 20.
There was an accident'to a Mount Somers branch line train this morning about 20 miles from Ashburton, the engine and ten waggons becoming derailed, tearing up the permanent way for a distance of ten chains. The carriages did not leave the rails, and the only damage to rolling stock being a broken axle on one truck.
Drags are being despatched from Ashburton to bring the passengers to town.
