BOXING.
Invitations have been issued to His Excellency the Governor and Sir Janies Carroll to attend the ing contests to take place in the Princess Theatre, Hastings, on April 30t,h, under the auspices of the Hawke's Bay Boxing Association. Thomas is training vigorously at Hast ings for his bout with Mitchell, the heavyweight champion. The latter is expected to arrive in Hastings on Saturday night.
