BURNSIDE STOCK SALES. The bulk of the yarding was composed of ewes of secondary and iji-fei-'or quality, and .for these classes the market was a little easier. There was a. good yarding of lambs. 2202 being foruard. but rhe quality was not up to ovp.-et.it firns at this time of the '-par. Good iambs sold well, realising :ts high •is 19/-, Giri although the demand was strong and good prices were realised, buyers were not so keen as last week, and values .suffered a decline of about :)d per head. The yarding of cattie numbered 186, and though there were, st;,;«> good quality animals forward, the mac,jrity were composed of cows ranging from good to inferior. In proportion to tile cows the number of bullocks yarded was small. At the eommenceiiiwi of file sale prices for good bullocks were 5/- in advance of last week’s rales, and they finished up at.an advance of 10/- per head over the previous, week. tile demand at the close of the. safe being very keen. Good bullocks made up to £l3/5.0/- per head, which is equal to 30/- per 1001 b. There was a, better yarding of pigs than in the previous week, (13 porkers and baconers being forward and 74 store pigs. For t'iio latter, values aero about equal to last w ek’s prices, and for porkers and barwers th? high rates lately ruling eased a shad? on account of the large yard in g. and prices ranged from 6Jd to' 6/d per lb.
